Apply today to become an Apprentice at The Brown and Hurley Group! We’re looking for year 12 and recent school leavers to commence their full-time, four-year apprenticeship from January 2023 at our Kyogle branch. Mature aged applicants with some panel beating experience will also be considered.

About our apprenticeship program:

The Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology  is a four-year apprenticeship that combines classroom learning with specialised on-the-job training with industry leading professionals at our state-of-the-art dealerships. After the successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will have a trade qualification and an opportunity to gain a permanent qualified tradesperson position.

Our apprentices are:

  • Committed to completing a four-year apprenticeship and long-term career in the heavy vehicle service industry
  • Responsible, enthusiastic, mechanically minded, team-oriented, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
  • Physically fit due to the nature of work
  • 2021 and 2022 year 12 graduates (preferred) and have a drivers’ licence and own transport from January 2023 (preferred)

  • Develop skills and knowledge in chosen trade
  • Pass all courses and attend all classroom sessions
  • Carry out service, maintenance, repair and rebuild work on vehicles and trailers (to your own capability)
  • Participate in the on-call roster and attend offsite breakdowns
  • Check own work to ensure it is carried out to the manufacturers’ requirements
  • Have a Foreperson/Supervisor check your work
  • Ensure work is completed on time
  • Ensure company and personal tools are looked after and well maintained
  • Complete job cards correctly
  • Provide exceptional and professional customer service
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and the terms of your employment agreement
  • Keep work area clean and tidy at all times
  • Perform all duties safely and work to eliminate injury
  • Attend training when required
  • Any other duties as directed by your manager and other senior personnel
